FOMO

…there’s been a flurry of posts in our little sub forum over the last several days with some fantastic watches.

I was feeling a little left out so I went to grab this one.

I think my choices (all made several years ago, my most recent Journe was purchased in 2018) were driven by a wanting a mix of the usual suspects (one must own a Resonance) and and everyday basic Journe (many chose the CS, I because I was an earlier bird, chose the CB) and also the more overlooked Journe watches.

In that category I put my VII (seen below) and my CTS.  Even with the growth in popularity of the brand both of these watches still sit in that overlooked category I feel.  Neither the first or second or even third choices for most collectors both back then and today.

Funnily enough, both of them are among the more rare Journe watches produced.

Here’s a quick snap, indoor lighting and sitting on my couch.

Watch by F.P. Journe, Resonance, CTS, Souvrain, CS, Centigraphe Sport, Centigraphe, Chronometre, Chronometre Bleu, CB

The question is when was the first purchase!! Ha! Your two “overlooked” pieces cannot be on today’s wishlist as they are discontinued in their original form. I am a big fan of the CTS and luckily mybwrosy can handle the larger version

Yeah, it’s been that long.

I was almost ready to put a request in for the Nacre CS in RG, I didn’t see the point at the time asking as I wasn’t going to buy it in 2024/25. But then it was discontinued. So back to square one, kind of. I am waiting on the production version of the mo...

Conversely, this was one Journe that hit me immediately.

Many others were slow burners for me. Not least the Centigraphe and my own Centigraphe Titane Sport.

Nice Christmas tree!

I don't get the Christmas tree out for the holidays. But I'd definitely make it a point to wear this watch for the holiday season if I had one!

Wonderful....thanks for sharing.

That Vagabondage II is spectacular but I got late to the FPJ game to be able to purchase it now. I love the platinum CTS on strap. Too bad it's already discontinued. ...but I am stil very enamored by the Titanium version and bright yellow dial.

I am a fan of the yellow too.

The model is too large for my wrist but I do really like that specific yellow. It’s very nice in person.

It's a pleasure to see this Vagabondage II (great shot).

Especially after having dived into the world of digital jumping hours and minutes watches with my thread on the Zeitwerk (this Vagabondage being one of the very rare alternative or 'contender')... Best, Emmanuel

Thanks for looking Emmanuel.

The ZW had long been on my radar too. These two watches, the ZW and VII, are to me both very strong designs. And I think are peers in a way that some other similar jump hour/minute watches are not. At the time I bought the VII I also owned a Datograph. So...

My heart skip a beat every time I see this watch

It is so cool and nice. It’s form factor is slim and elegant and the dial sooo funky. I truly love it. You did very well buying this one.

You sum it up very well.

The smaller and more elegant package is what makes the VII more appealing to me versus the Zeitwerk (which itself has a very strong visual appeal for me with its dial and horizontal placement of the time windows). And the dial, while the ZW is “bold” and ...
