Brightening up a dull Tuesday with the “classic” CB
Both dial and strap bringing to colour to the week and to my navy on navy on dark denim getup.
It was mentioned in a post over the weekend that the CB is surely a classic now. I think so; perhaps a contemporary classic alongside the traditionally classic guilloche CS.
I think any Journe collection can easily make sense with both a CB and a CS; I am definitely of that belief.
(I’m sitting in the same coffee shop and same seat as I was the last time I wore the CB and took a picture of it a few weeks ago. Creature of habit I guess).

You are 100% correct.
Does not take a bad picture. It’s also a watch with the dynamism to keep it very interesting for a long long time. Interestingly this has also been a turn off for some collectors, which I always found really strange.

And yes, I think orange will be really good for all of your watches. You should try to find the Khaki too; although I think you may have a calf in a similar colour. I’m a big fan of the original straps; I really love how thin they are.

It does something really good with the white gold dials. The original straps are really excellent but I also have a thing with calf straps when they get a patina. They give a slight vintage feel which I love on the Journe watches 😊 How is your coffee? Min...
Jean Rousseau, or Journe straps, which I believe are Jean Rousseau straps, make a fantastic orange strap.

It was more functional that a targeted visit or destination as I waited between meetings. Nothing to write about ! 😂
Definitely photogenic. What is great about this and the CS
line is that they really do respond well to different straps. A different color or texture strap instantly and seamlessly works and does not seem forced with the CB. Not to mention it is such a great watch that can go casual to dress with ease.
Yes, I think either can be a first or only Journe and each offer tremendous versatility.
For many years the CB was my travel watch of choice, precisely because it could go anywhere. This was before it became harder to find and significantly more valuable (at that point it’s travel days were over).
Still my favourite F.P. Journe by far.
I don't think I've ever seen a bad picture of the CB and virtually any colour strap seems to work well with it as does yours. Wera and enjoy it in good health. Marc

It is really crazy to think that this was the cheapest of them all (at retail and used/grey). For many many years it was arguably the best value of any independent.
