Without prejudice and with due consideration for the big reveal later in 2009, the gut feeling is that it "may" be better from a slimness aspect.
I like and own A.Lange & Sohne watches but some of them are getting to tuna-can size 
The family-design feature of FP Journe is slim proportioned cases.
Of course, the Vagabondage 'rules' are different........

Agree about the Lange being tuna can size lately....
I hope the Journe one has the remontoir built in as well. It will be so wonderful on the wrist and Journe pieces tend to be super comfortable too *CL

Wow! Is '09 gonna be the year of the mechanical digital display? This watch, and the ALS Zeitwerk certainly are making a case for it! The picture of the Vagabondage II make it seem a bit more playful in comparison to the Zeitwerk. I'll be interested to se...

I shall look forward to seeing the first actual photos, so that I can gauge the actual size and dimensions of it. Also from what I have seen so far, I prefer it more then the Vangabond One.
IMO he got something right that Lange didn't...
... instinctively, the way the hours and minutes are positioned, u can "understand" it naturally. Plus the hours are smaller then the minutes... All that adds that on 1st look, readability will be more natural. I love also that dynamic on the vertical axe...

Was this release rushed due to the announcement of the AL&S...seems that it's still in the conceptual stage...? Looks like a fantastic piece however...and I agree that some AL&S's are a bit too thick as a true 'dress' watch...part of the appeal of...
