I never had thought of cuffs. Ingenious design

All Journe's watches with asymmetry have dials on the right, such as Automatique, Lune and TV. Maybe it's coincidence or maybe it's really meant to be for cuff and left wrist wearers. Let me ask the genius the next time I see him.

now that you said it it makes so much sense, it has to be it.

A strict interpretation of dinner etiquette may favor the ALS/GO layout with the second hand only pocking out of the cuff (or a silent alarm if absolutely necessary)

The asymmetry of the dial weighted on the right was a smart choice and probably deliberate. Not sure why Lange chose for the Lange 1 to have their subdial on the left. Lange did remedy this with the daymatic.
