I picked up an oem Zenith strap which had been paired with a different model as well as a clasp. While the bracelet is nice I prefer the strap and clasp combination most of the time. ...

But I recently checked it's value and was almost shocked. It's probably THE ICON among all independents but I'm not sure it's worth more than a platinum Patek chrono perpetual calendar 5270 Both are great and yes, a 5270 is not a 5970 .... But still THIS ...  

With $150k of fresh clean cash, the CB would not be a watch I’d buy. Nor would a 5711, 5712 or any flavour of Nautilus. As for the 5270, nope. I’d go elsewhere with $$$ too.

And I wouldn’t trade it for a 5270 either. I was never attracted to complicated dials and the 5270 lacks emotional and aesthetic quality to me. I do see some beauty in a clean 5970 even if it’s not my kind of watch. If you offered me a 3448 I would seriou... 

I actually have a yellow strap on one of my other FPs and every time I see a picture of this combo, I'm tempted to put it on my CB as well. That beautiful blue dial pops even more with the yellow strap. I think the time has finally come 😎 By the way... I ... 

But the day started with this one ... Went to see all the novelties for 2026. So the Panerai for watches and wonders but also releases that will follow later this year. So I had to wear a Panerai I guess ...  

The L&H is so nice and special. I’m struggling a little bit with the triple lugs but perhaps it’s a matter of getting used to it. Reg you Panerai. What is this ref called? I only ever had one Panerai but sold it when they became too popular. It made too m...
