Which will you choose?
I'm hoping to add a VC to my collection, and I'm torn between the WG Traditionnelle and the Overseas small model.
The Traditionnelle would fill the dress watch gap in my collection - currently I rely on my trusty steel reverso for formal events. (I have a Patek 6000g but it has a more casual vibe.)
I already have two blue dial sports watches - the Rolex yachtmaster blue dial and the Omega Aqua Terra Spectre edition. Notwithstanding, the VC overseas is a haute horology steel watch that is in a different category from the Rolex and the Omega. The bracelet, leather and rubber straps with the quick-swap system is a boon, and its relative availability vis-a-vis the Nautilus and Royal Oak is another big plus.

Traditionnell small second ... but in platinum with grey dial
That is a classy, beyond any doubt serious formal watch. You can also easily dress it down. I know the price is steep but it would be an absolute jewel in any collection.

I think that the Overseas is actually not THAT much better than the spectre so i would go with the Traditionelle.
And the dial does not look "right" imo. Thanks for taking the relevant pictures!
Get the Traditionelle
Do not settle if you want a RO or a Nautilus - find a way to get one now or wait for the hype to die. The Traditionelle is a beautiful dress watch without being too classical.

The Overseas might be an iteration or two away from the perfection, while the Traditionnelle is arguably the best dress watch in current production, all things considered

If I were in your shoes, I would rarely wear the other blue watches again after buying the Overseas. On the other hand, I would wear the Overseas much more than the Traditionelle, as I don't really need a "formal" watch. I do love the manual winding Tradi...

Trade in the Rolex and/or Omega and get both VCs. That VC OS looks good on your wrist. I suspect the Rolex and Omega wear very big for you. Just an idea... Cheers, John

The Rolex and Omega were gifts from my father, and have special sentimental value. Otherwise, your suggestion definitely makes plenty sense!

If you didn't have an immediate preference between the two after trying them on, I'd go with the Traditionelle as other are saying to add more diversity to your collection
