You are considering your next GADA, and already have the bases covered for the rest of your rotation. Assume they are about the same price pre-owned. 1) Rolex Explorer I 114270, very good condition, comes complete with Rolex box, and Rolex service card dated a few years ago. 2) Omega Aqua Terra green teak, 38 mm, near mint condition, comes complete with Omega box, and Omega AD warranty card dated a few months ago. Which do you choose and why? πŸ™‚πŸ»

The Explorer here. An icon, a Classic, and a very pure one. Timeless.

I’m going Omega! I know , I know but I’ve got an Aqua Terra 38.5 quartz with grey dial and it’s a phenomenal GADA, partly because it’s not a Rolex

Rolex just has that aspect to it, it carries a greater meaning socially, whereas the Omega is unburdened and will just deliver, with a free and easy feeling! Now without the numerals and Explorer dial any of OPs could take the crown πŸ‘‘ but still I don’t know πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Thanks for your response oyster case !

I’ve owned several Seamasters, a few of which have been 2500 and 8500 AT generations. White dial / blue indices , Skyfall, and later blue dial respectively - all 38 mm. Hard to fault as a GADA. The only thing I’d change about this watch, to make it more wearable, is the case thickness , making it a mm or 2 slimmer. Regarding the competitor, from the House of Geneve, I have never owned a 36 mm Neo-Vintage Explorer I, only a modern DJ, Sub, OP 36 and Explorer 39 mm - So I am curious!
