Size matters… but sometimes, less is just more refined

A few years ago, I reviewed the Black Bay 58 and called it the best dimensionally balanced and most comfortable watch in it's price range.

Lately, though, my wrist has been hijacked by it's smaller sibling — the Black Bay 54. At just 2mm smaller and coming in at 37mm, it doesn’t sound like a natural fit for someone who’s 1.90m tall and just under 100kg.

But the BB54 is so slim and comfy that it feels like the closest thing to a vintage Submariner (Tudor or Rolex) in a modern package.

The BB58 still reigns supreme in many categories…
…but when it comes to comfort?
This little guy took the crown.
