Hi all,
I’m considering entering the world of Panerai - thinking about a 721 or a California.
I keep bumping into info speaking about movement issues with the p3000 (mainspring issues, winding issues, accuracy problems etc....)
I was hoping that Panerai owners could share their experiences regarding the reliability levels of their Panerai and any issues that may have been encountered during ownership.

Both of which have the p3000 movement. No problems whatsoever with either watch and both keep excellent time.

I wear them in rotation but each stays on my wrist for a whole week before changing to something else. Another friend has a 721 and hasn't said anything negative. I also know someone who has had a 372 with that same movement for a couple years and he love...

I have/had 2 Panerai with P3000 movement
haven’t encountered any troubles. I do wind them every three days even if I didn’t wear it. btw May I know what is the source of your doubts? Best, Mahesh.,

I keep bumping into posts about the mainsprings giving troubles during or right after winding... I have no idea what’s true and what’s not

Once the winding is full, the crown stop turning. I am no expert but I always thought the mainspring could by over-winding or forcing the crown.
I own a few of them....
and never had any problem. I don't use them daily but regardless of how long they have been in the box, whenever I pick one up, I just wind it and strap it on my wrist. I will conclude mentioning that I've never had any of them serviced. I can't comment o...

I got mine used back in 2015..
I encountered winding issues after a few months. The watch is an O serial so it was probably a 3 year old piece at that time. So off to the service center it went. The waiting time wasn't too long, probably a couple of months or less. They did a full over...
No issues with my 721!
