What you are about to see is something I've never saw before, I don't even know if the watch is an original JLC watch but it really amazed me this morning when I saw it.
Wristshots:
What a monster!
and now, the joy for the senses. Blued hairspring, huge main plates and those cool hammers knocking for the wonderful and loud chimes.
Hope you like it as much as I do. It was a real pleasure to "play" with it. It was VERY loud (very important to me for a minute repeater) and nice.
I am not sure about the authenticity, maybe someone got the answer. The owner told it belonged to his grandpa in the 20's or 30's but the size is too much for a wrist watch. I guess the made the case many years later and put the movement an dial from a pocket watch inside.
Cheers!
