Need help identifying a Vintage JLC
Hello everybody,
So my father was gifted this old JLC. At first, I can see the dial is either not original or badly restored, as it states 't swiss t' even thought it doesnt have any luminous material.
Secondly, the caseback is also not original, it doesn't have any markings and is poorly holding to the case.
The movement appears to be original, however I'm no specialist. Also, I really liked the case, with its 'corne de vache' style.
Does any of you know it is original? Did JLC produced this kind of cases in the past? Doing some research I found JLC chronos with this type of case, but none time only watches. About the hands, well, I dont know nothing about it either.
The crown doesnt appear original to me, as it doesnt have any markings
If you guys can help me identifying it, and if the case and the movement proves to be original, I will make this watch a little project, and will try to source an original caseback, dial and everything that makes necessary to make it as original as possible. Also, I will restore the case, because, as you can see, it is very rusty.
I liked the style of the watch and it is 37mm, a size that I find to be very nice and elegant.
