Just thought you may what to provide some feedback on the footer which we recently removed. Basically it showed visiting members and guests. Time window ranged from 10-60 minutes.

I guess I was not the only one who could not vote. (yes, I was logged in) Now it seems to be fixed, I just voted on the thread above this one

As this reply should indicate, I'm logged in. Can't vote. Can't even see the list of who happens to be logged on (have seen it previously). I don't usually log-on (unless I am going to post/respond). I don't know any of you, so (for me) knowing who is on ...

I think Harry's comment on how the question is phrased is insightful. If the "issue" was folks wanting their names purged quickly was the "point" the poll didn't capture that. Like Bill, I enjoy being part of various on-line communities and do enjoy seein...
Just reading between the lines
It is hard to know which way you would go. I guess maybe what is missing is a "I don't care either way" option. The hard yes or no is basically vote - yes if you want to keep having the footer vs vote - No to kill the footer. It is pretty hard stuff tryin...

I guess a poll can be useful but how the question is asked can skew the results. e.g. If it was "How many are bothered by the system reflecting your user name for a period of 10-60 minutes after you log off" the results may be different. Also, I think tha...
