I don't believe Panerai needs to "milk" the military image, as they, together with Rolex developed their 3646 tool watch in the 1930's, long before other watch houses. And, although the size eliminates most of the market, not anymore so than the prices of... 

Diver's watches exsisted already...before...Panerai/Rolex. All Panerai did was to find a..better..solution for the water resistence (the first diving watches flooded..abitually) and render them readible in the dark (which Panerai resolved by useing Radiom...

if OP realy wants to sell this watch ? I mean I have the feeling it's more sort of a exhibtion example of what they are able to, or more specific what Valfleurier is able to and for that matter it's much to big with 49mm to begin with, 42-44mm would be a ...
