Comperative ads are the funniest
I remember one in The Observer late 70's or early 80's, that said (in HUGE letters all over the page) "How to save on a new Ford Escort" and in small letters at the bottom "Don't buy one! VW Golf!"
These days you can add a ZERO behind the Volvo's price ....
Now also add a ZERO behind the 6 other cars .... and then add another one .... . What's the moral of the story ;-) ? Bim
You are correct about the other cars, the VOLVO is only x3 in price
... eBay has 3 right now, around 6-10K
That ads almost one zero to the original price :-)
But the other ones have two zeros extra .... Imagine that Mercedes or Aston would sell for only 80 to 100K Euros ! The moral of the story? These very exclusive cars have become investment objects rather than collectors or purist objects for those who real...
Interesting how the six comparison cars are all priced almost the same.

Today i visited the Jerusalem ( Yad Vashem) Holocaust museum. I took a few outside pics not uploaded yet, a very special and big concrete building as well. Google it as we couldnt take (and honestly i didnt feel like) pictures in the inside. Bim

My pops is an architect and came of age in this era, instilling a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of modernism. That coupled with the cultural revolution and the maturation of rock n roll. Grow your hair and keep it that way.
Not a fan of comparative marketing per se...
But with the distance of several decades this is cute Especially since no one would ever make the comparison...
