Hi Jack,
As promised I just set my 5817 against the time.gov watch. The time was 10:00 am PST.
However, there was no hacking available to me so I tried to fiddle a little to get the seconds to stop but I had some difficulty. Basically a tried to wind back and hold the seconds for a bit. Anyway I was able to get my setting three seconds behind the time.gov clock.
I will check the watch again in 24hours.

PS the gov clock claims to be accurate to 0.4 seconds which I hope is enough.

Hi Bill, Thanks for the update....A bit of eratica there Bill...lets see what happens in the next day or so. My 5817 is still on track, it is now the 10th over here and just after 6 pm so it has been running 9 full days and is about five and a half second...

Hi Jack, Give the guide lines of how you did the experiment and I will try to follow. How you set the watch for starters as there is no hack. And what did you measure against. I may just leave the watch on the winder. Bill
Mine is gaining 10 seconds each day.
I even tried to put it crown up, another day crown down, then dial up, dial down. No differences - +10 seconds each day. What would you do in my case: send it to Breguet for adjustment or just let's it go?
