I have the Breguet fountain pen but as a lefty it kind of stinks writing with it as I smear ink all over the place when I write. I do have a number of nice fountain pens but really don't use them much anymore for that reason. On another note, do you know ...
I haven't used a fountain pen in at least 5 years. I have around 10 pens left that are mostly Montegrappa's. At the peak I probably had 25 or 30 of them but sold off a number of pens a long time ago including all of my gold Mont Blanc's. I kind of wish I ...

You inspired me to pull out the last of my fountain pens this morning. The Girard Perregaux Tourbillon pen happens to be my favorite one of what I have left in the collection. Tony ...
But it wasn't any of those you mentioned. The one name I remember was the "Tate" pen that I had in gold. It was my least favorite out of the limited edition MontBlanc's I had. Its funny how I remember the name of my least favorite one! Tony
The mechanism was cool, the vanishing nib mechanism like that found in the Boheme. But the pen itself wasn't my favorite. I really like the Borghese pen. It's cool and modern!
Every year, usually in the spring, I'll start polishing my silverware, then the pens, then all the other silver accessories... Polish these babies and start enjoying them again!
I have some Montblanc and Pelikan pens but they are not silver ones. So those Breguet/Montegrappa are my first silver pens. And silver with time will get some patina. So how to clean it not to harm the pattern?
Don't rub the polishing cloth too hard, as it will harm the pattern. Use a silver cleaning/anti-tarnish solution and dab it onto the pen. Then dry the solution off the pen with minimal rubbing. This way the relief is not "flattened" or worn. Excellent que...
Considering they apply to the discussion at hand, these links are definitely permitted. And they're not sales oriented. Your consideration towards the rules is definitely much appreciated! Gorgeous pens and nice reviews. Thanks for the link!
I don't think I've ever even tried writing with a Montegrappa. I tried an S.T. Dupont, nib was too firm. Montblanc's nib is still not flexible enough and the Montblancs are a little dry. Would love to give Pelikan a try, they supposedly run a little wette...
And that is why it is strange for me that they've placed "Swiss made" label on pens (it is engraved on back side of the clip). Possibly some of operations are made on Breguet side. Or Montegrappa has some Swiss manufacture.
