Hi all,
Has anyone any experiance, or explanation for the following accurance..
When setting the time on my 1997 Sea Dweller, and trying to get the minute hand exactly over the minute marker (when the second hand is stopped at 0secs), I find that as I slowly adjust the minute hand to get it exact, that I often experiance the minute hand springing back in the direction I just adjusted it from when I release the crown.
Its almost as though there's some kind of torque build up or something. (Torque build up may be exaggerating it a bit, but there definetly appears to be some type of residual energy that wants to send the minute hand back again).
Of course, had I not dropped the watch a few too many times, it wouldn't now be gaining upto 20seconds a day, so I wouldn't be having to adjust the time every week. And of course, If I wasn't that obsessed with setting it to GMT exactly, and having the minute hand exactly over the minute marker as the second hand passed the top of the dial...... I know, perhaps a bit of OCD creeping in! But this is why we love automatic watches so much!
cheers Tony
