Inside Atelier AkriviA !
I was thrilled today to be in the Atelier AkriviA, meet Mr. Rexhepi and his team !
I spent almost 3 hours exchanging on watches, movements, Mr. Journe, things happening around the world…He is passionate about his work, very positive and yet humble - he started the brand when he was 25 & have already won a GPHG !
Now straight into Chronomètre Contemporain…all pieces of RG & Pt are booked & I wasn’t much surprised by that…the Black enamel dial on RG case is extremely attractive & I don’t want to incur the wrath of my wife ;-) In fact, myself & my son are more tilted towards Pt & white enamel…
i'm not a fan of colored metal but the Black enamel makes a BIG difference !
My son was over the moon to see watches and a watchmaker in person !
Rexhep’s brother working the movement baseplate…he is wearing the Tourbillon regulator with the ‘heated blue’ steel dial – not need to say it was gorgeous…

And one last thing, the right way to pronounce Rexhep Rexhepi is ReGep ReGepi - ‘xh’ pronounced as ‘G’ when we say Germany!
At the dinner table, my son asked ‘what is the meaning of AkriviA?’ I never thought of asking this to Rexhep, so reached out to the know-it-all source (yes Google it is !)….
AkriviA means Accuracy, Exactness, Preciseness, after knowing the man behind the watches I think Google missed one more adjective...PASSION !
