Templetowers shares his experience at Salon QP, emphasizing the value of focused engagement with independent watchmakers over overwhelming large-scale shows. His photo essay and personal reflections highlight the exceptional craftsmanship and unique philosophies of brands like Artelier De Chronometrie, Rexhep Rexhepi, and Kari Voutilainen.
prefer to spend a longer time engaging with a few exhibitors and this show allowed that to happen. I just burn out if I try to cover too much. Here are a few photo's.

I'm warming to the Titanium Marine..
Three of my favorites were from Artelier De Chronometrie Barcelona, Rexhep Rexhepi and Kari Voutilainen.
Every watch from Artelier De Chronometrie is unique. They are also hand made with traditional methods and as a result, the cases, hands and dials all vary slightly - The finishing is outstanding on all components and the Omega Calibre 266 movements that are used are reworked to an extremely high standard. Just a wonderfully balanced time only watch and at 38 mm the size is perfect.
The photo's just can't do Rexhep Rexhepi's Chronometre Contemporain justice, I have rarely seen balance, symmetry and a finish of a movement to this standard. Just wonderful - At 29 years of age, I wonder what watches Rexhep will be making when he is Philippe Dufour's age.
I don't think I need to say anything that you don't already know about Kari Voutilainen, just sublime creations and I found Kari very approachable and interesting to talk to - a true gentleman.
It was great to meet up with Tim Jackson (Passion Fine Jewelry) who was generous in imparting some of his wealth of knowledge of the independent watch makers - a real pleasure, cheers Tim !
Best Will.
