I recently asked you guys for advice on which material to buy for the 1815 Chronograph (current model) and the early Datograph. I ended up not choosing pink gold, but WG and P.

The platinum Datograph is heavy and will sink down.
The Dato has a D-buckle and the 1815 has a pin buckle.
The Dato is heavy, but I find its rugged weight very comfortable.
The 1815 dial, which glows blue depending on the light, is also attractive.
I took it to a traditional Japanese restaurant (Ryoutei)

Thanks for chiming in. I’ve been wearing my Cornes de Vache this week and I love the relative slimness (just under 11mm). Same with the 5172, which is just under 11,5mm.
I don’t have many options to try on these Langes near me. Traveling to Japan soon, let’s see if we can work something out.

My favourite of the two would be the 1815 Blue dial as I just find the cleaner and simpler looking dial more appealing to me but both are truly special and beautiful. Wear and enjoy them in good health. Marc

Iconic pair of chronographs, and my personal preference is white metal as well. I've never been bothered by the heft of platinum, and in fact adore that feel!
