I never loved Rolex until..
Dears,
I have been a watch fanatic for some years by now, but I was never interested by Rolex (sorry for that) I already have some nice pieces in my collection so far (AP 15202, GO chronometer, speedmaster pro, ..)
Recently I started to get interested in the new Yacht Master 1 with its blue dial, until I had the chance to put it on my wrist, it is REALLY a masterpiece! I loved it, even my wife found it nice (very difficult to talk about another new watch with her).
Soon I am planning to visit another Rolex AD and I have a feeling that I might pull the trigger. That worries me, is this normal to change and start loving Rolex? is it a sign of maturity? or is it this particular model? I might be also interested in the new Daytona ;-)
did anyone had similar experience? Ben Clymer in a recent article about watch collecting mentions this strange way of "evolution"
please share your experience / opinion.

I believe a lot of collectors misjudge Rolex as it is not seen as distinctive enough or too common..but the truth is that Rolex does make great watches so in my opinion it is a sign of maturity Christian

You cannot avoid Rolex. It doesn't depend on the brand, but on yourself.
I mean, the brand makes some cool watches. But quite a lot of people buy a Rolex for a wrong reason: The social status attached to the watch, to the name of the brand. While they should just buy a watch they just like. It is just so simple. Best, nicolas
It is very difficult to avoid Rolex if watches are your passion.
Their quality is outstanding and Rolex represent great value. Blue dial YM, ceramic Daytona with white dial and any Submariner are my top favourites. Best Kari
Rolex will not be my first choice....
and not even second or third one. But I get the love for it and it's popularity, I can appreciate some of their timeless pieces. I personally think there is not enough emphasis on the movements to much on bling factor. But still when I see one in the wild...
But they take highest efforts to
