As I am sure this discussion has already been had in this forum, though I was not able to find one. I have been admiring the Milgauss (pictured below, my actual wrist... can't figure out how to rotate the photo??? [ask a moderator]). I have become more enamored of the Oyster perpetual 39mm (photo taken from monochrome.com). If you own either, I am curious what drew you to that decision? I like the simplicity of both. The pop of color in the blue dial Milgauss is what really catches my attention. But overall, to my very naieve and uneducated eye, the looks of the two are very similar.

If I am not mistaken, I think even the Oyster Perpetual is now antimagnetic due to the inclusion of a parachrome hairspring in the 3132 movement.
I am not sure if it is up to 1000 gauss, but is has antimagnetic properties for sure.
The Milgauss is a laughing stock nowadays (1000 gauss is nothing anymore) regarding anti magnetism.
But very pleasing to the eye.

Amagnetic watches are very useful nowadays. A Hairdryer is 400 Gauss, a Cell phone even more and I don't even speak about a lab top, loudspeakers, security controls and so on...

Curious about magnetism
I’ve occasionally had magnetism problems with other watches but never with a Rolex. Has anyone on this thread ever had to demagnetize a modern Rolex?

It was/is running well, I just wanted to try it on a new demagnetizer, for fun and "just in case". No change, I think modern rolex are resistant to the day-to-day sort of magnets we encounter.
