Dusting some cobwebs off this one.
I took the VII out for a spin yesterday, to the coffee shop and back.
I know we have spoken many times of the wastefulness of watches that just sit unworn. The reality is this is one of those; I do wear it but not very often.
But once on the wrist there is never a question about whether I should continue to own it. It was always a unique F.P. Journe, part of the attraction, and it was also a watch that suited my wrist very well.
(I always love a reflection on the crystal in watch photos. Some will tut tut, but it’s just a better all round picture and so it’s very much intentional !)

That’s a nice way of framing it.
It is definitely not a watch that grabs attention immediately, thanks to the small case size and the dial (most of the space is the smoked crystal). I’ve always found it an easy watch to wear because of this.

The watch, the strap the sneakers. It’s so freaking cool and I would love to have this piece. Sadly the price has put it out of reach. Do wear it, even if only occasionally. It’s so you.

A beautiful watch in my favorite tortue case!
A lot of watch companies make a tortue case. Cartier, Patek Philippe, Chopard, etc. But this one is my favorite out of all of them! Combined with that super cool digital display, this might be the coolest of them all!

We can thank Cartier for this. For me, up to now, this is still the best tortue case I have had on my wrist.

Obviously a favourite of mine too. For me, I tried to think about which references really represented the entirety of F.P.Journe. A Vagabondage needs to be part of that.

My favorite watch in your collection of incredible pieces.
And the choice of strap is so spot on. Just one of those ultimate watches. Not a daily wearer, so there should be no guilt in keeping it nicely stored away for those special days.
