Crazy month, crazy statement...
After returning from a trip to Italy I recently purchased a Rolex Yachtmaster, the one with the rhodium dial (love it), after buying the Rolex Seadweller (Red) before we left for Italy. I also had a blue dial put into my Datejust 36, so all in all it had been a crazy month with three new watches.
But here it comes. After wearing the new watches for a few hours or sometimes days (the Yachtmaster), I keep putting them away to put on the white Explorer.
Not the most popular one. Not the most recognisable one. Not the coolest watch in town. Not the best investment piece but...I really, really like it the most! The simplicity, legibility and the under the radar appearance, it all just works for me.
Could this be a real keeper? I sure enjoy it now and after selling my first one it has been the only Rolex model I really missed after I sold it. Let’s see what the future has in store for me. Meanwhile I am truly admiring and enjoying this piece, with all the scratches and dings it has become my daily wearer...
