Classic sports watch
I have decided to take the Explorer II to the beach and out surfing when I realized that there isn’t much white dial sports watch that can easily replace this one. The dial is simple, highly legible and functions are also very practical although the GMT isn’t always used. The Daytona would be a nice option but I prefer a date over a busy dial with a chronograph.
What do you guys think? The white dial is irreplaceable and I prefer it over the common black dials on the submariner and GMT. And definitely over the blue dials of AP and PP.
The day date with Ivory Dial and Roman numerals is also a tough one to beat but I would have a hard time bringing it out to the beach and rough it up.

Just the right proportions
The current model seemed too big on paper but wears comfortably on my wrist. I can only imagine how much better the discontinued model wears. But what do you think about the upcoming anniversary model? Bigger, smaller or stay the same? 44mm would seem too...

Is this the only Rolex model with brushed bezel?
When everyone is talking about Ceramic bezel, I think brushed sport bezels are truly attractive.

I am not an expert, but what i know is the explorer 2 have a brushed looking bazel. I set the model as collectable, so if i have mine i can check if it’s brushed.
