Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 50th Anniversary - A Month on the Wrist
The Year was 2008, June to be exact. Barely a month after signing up for PuristS, one spectacular timepiece kept me dreaming, and brought me into the universe that is Blancpain.
The superb article in question HERE , launched me on a long search that would take 5 years to fulfil !
During those long 5 years .... all these happened
But nones of those could quench that 50th Anniversary thirst !
Must have been behaving in 2013 , and Santa bestowed this wonderful piece of Horological History into my collection ... right before Christmas !

Superbly sized at 40mm with an extremely legible dial.
Domed Sapphire , one for die for !
Imparts a huge does of character to theLegend that is the Fifty Fathoms.
And a beautiful sapphire bezel, no less ....
Beautifully engraved into the case. Very much a signature of JB !
Gotta put in a word for the bracelet , quite one of the best I have tried on
Very re-assuring butterfly clasp , as it should be .....
Very week made , and locks securely
Overall a very well executed timepiece and a fine tribute on its 50th Anniversary. Hard to believe this was back in 2003 !
