The Lunar One with Geneva Seal is in that quality range as Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe. However, the Chopard LUC series has a wider variance; you have some "mid-high quality level" models that are much less expensive, and you have some "Geneva-Seal-high-quality level" models that are as expensive or more expensive as a Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin equivalent. The public is just expecting this new Lunar One model to be priced substantially less.
Keeping in mind, the Chopard Perpetual Calendar Chrono starts at only $84,000 USD. This is a Geneva Seal piece too (although it's cased in titanium). So it's a bit of a surprise that this watch is stepping on the toes of a Perpetual Calendar Chrono. Of course, this is only a superficial view - if you look deeper, there are other ways to justify the high cost of the. new Lunar One. It's just positioned higher than most people expected.
