I tell anyone who will listen - if you're considering a Rolex Submariner, PLEASE consider a Blancpain 50 Fathoms - the movement is just better and the cost ranges from $13,000 USD to $19,000 USD. Some people don't like the design of the case once the watch is on their wrist. Then I tell them to move on to the Chopard Alpine Eagle - at $14,000 USD, it's an amazing value and that bracelet is amongst the best in the business! And for those who still aren't convinced, I bring them to the Bulgari Octo Finissimo - it's just an amazing movement, a super complex case, and at $13,300 USD for the steel sport version with screw down crown and 120 meters water resistance - that's just another great value. The Rolex Submariner is so expensive these days that it's amazing these other great options are within grasp.

That Chopard bracelet is also the most expensive to manufacture too!
That Chopard bracelet will also be the most expensive by far to manufacture among the set of watches I mentioned. That's an incredibly difficult bracelet to machine. The CNC machines have to be calibrated to the micron and fastidious checks by human hands...
