Chopard

The Chopard Watch of the Week this week is SteveG's L.U.C 16/1860/2 , and I think it only fitting that the first image of this WOW #6 be the movement. It's not that the dial is anything less than stunning, but the Calibre 1.96 Iand, frankly, SteveG's love...

I love this one, CJ! :) Here I don't find the date window as disturbing as on the Longines previous discussed. Because of the dial color and dail decoraction? Not sure.... But here I don't think the date window take over! Best Blomman

I did not know at the time that the 16/1860/1 existed as I was really looking for a rose gold 16/1860/2 like "what he photographed" :-) They were made in series of 1860 pieces per colour of gold. It had to be new and from authorised channels. Finally, my ...

Thanks very much for the honor! I acquired my 1.96 in 2001, I think the model (as well as the entire L.U.C. project) was pretty much brand new. At the time, I was talking with a resale dealer about another watch, a wonderful Blancpain 7002 (worth looking ...  

I had gone to the Chopard Boutique in Costa Mesa to see a white gold Quattro with blue dial. As I was looking at it, I did a double take when I noticed my future yellow gold 16/1860/1 staring at me from a display case in the boutique. :-) I still don't ow... 

If you look closely at this picture one can appreciate the near-flawless polish on the hands, as they are reflecting the dial guilloche which is reflected off the bottom of the crystal! Perhaps not surprising given Chopard's jewelry expertise. ...  

I have noticed that same phenomenon in a few shots of mine. I agree -- Chopard gets everything as polished as possible! Best, CaliforniaJed
