Over the past year I have become more and more obsessed with these, and they are extremely difficult to find! Hard to believe one sold for $7500 here not too long ago Was wondering if anyone has come across any or is selling one? I really like the newer L...

I thought I had a seller lined up, but did a last minute "safety check" with a friend who was registrar of voters in Frankfurt. He said the address was a tenement building in a very bad location in town (no offence if you live in that part of Germany). So...

These are 1860/2 correct? Without the hinged caseback?

A platinum 1860? That's a rare find, and I love the look. You have two of the rarest ones. If you ever change your mind about the platinum one I'd like to consider it

He was just in the right place at the right time. I rarely part with watches, and I intend to hang onto this one. Good luck though, and it's too bad that the XPS 1860 isn't 36-38mm. Sounds like the size (40mm) is an issue for both you and me.

yup 40mm for a dressy watch is too big for me, even though I do think the XPS 1860 is beautiful

Maybe a little known fact, Cedric Johner got a hold of a dozen or so 1.96 movements and put them in his signature Abyss case. I had one many, many moons ago. I can’t think of any other third-party manufacturer outside of Johner who has had the privilege o... 

I wonder if he was involved in the original creation of the LUC 1.96 movement while he was there?

It contains a real walk down Memory Lane, with names like Walt Odets and SteveG. I remember when SteveG's personal web page was THE place to go to look at cool watches. It still kind of is!

I had two of these both in the light dial and dark dial and in rose gold. I find 36 mm too small although this dial is a real winner. It was the beginning of Chopard into real Haute Horologie, and for that reason perhaps I should have kept one. The 1.96 w...

I just missed one on C24 about a week ago, it was in white gold/white dial with the removable case back. Have to say the yellow gold is my first choice, although white gold with salmon dial would be hard to resist. Enjoy!
