MTF, I should probably have been a bit more nuanced when I wrote that. In my case, I was thinking of the 'glamour' associations - you know, a film or sports star being paid to be a 'brand ambassador'. Those generally turn me off (as does that term!). Nor ...

That was a great read. I must admit that it had not occurred to me that Chopard's stainless steel cases were forged. Very interesting. Hirota-san and I agree -- two of my favorite watches house two of his top 3 automatic movements! Best, Ken

I have admired the L.U.C line for a long time and still realized that there are a lot to learn. This is the brand we should keep our eyes on. Ken

Just an observation: The subdial is darker than the rest of the dial on the poster (first pic), but different from the real models (2nd and 3rd Pic) 3 different models ? This message has been edited by MervC on 2014-12-03 22:46:35 ...  

so the color may be off. If an actual photo. the subdial may appear darker simply because of the lighting. The watches in the second and third pictures are two different years. The former, you'll note. does not include "QF" in the dial. The latter, which ... 

Watched all the videos and they reminded me of my visit to the Chopard factories in Fleurier and Geneva. Also was introduced to Fairmined (R) gold. Thanks for the post. And I agree with the list of the three movements; those are truly exceptional movement...
