2009, added a few new variations of the Classic Twist and the Tech Twist.

2009 Twist
Firstly, though I called it the Classic Twist, it is not so, as this model is one of the first to have a bigger case diameter in the L.U.C line, at a more contemporary 41mm in year 2005.
The dial is plain as compared to the first with a sunburst pattern. Should be relevant to those who like less 'busy' dial.
The subdial seems to have two variations for the 2009 collection...this model is with the 'cross-hair' while the press release's picture (shown below) is the same as the first issue.

2005 - The First Twist
Now back to the new 2009 ...
For the gold case L.U.C Twist 2009, the hands and indexes are all 18K gold!
Another variation in the Rose Gold case ....
The beautiful movement is The Cal 1.96 with Geneva Seal and COSC certified.
This year, 2009, it is the stunning metallic blue!
Looks much better in steel than in pictures.
Yes, the case is steel, and this variation is limited to production number of 500.
It also comes in Rose Gold.
Movement is Cal 96T Next is the somehow monochromatic dial. The case is WG and limited to 250 pieces.
So Twisters, which do you prefer?
I still prefer the Classic white metal, but the shocking blue of the Tech Twist is alluring.
Leave you Twisters with the classic Twist, simply superb !

The value of a watch is really in the movement; and the geneva-sealed LUC Twist is the watch that wins in that category. One will notice it even has a swan neck spring regulator. The futuristic Tech Twist is very modern, but the movement finishing just is...
Hello Patrick, I am just curious about your comments on the Geneva-sealed movement in the LUC Twist being the "determining" factor over these two versions of the Twist. Apart from the more decorated rotor and the swan neck regulator in the 1.96, I really ...
I think overall the LUC Twist is probably the more classic watch. The Tech Twist may not stand the test of time but is definitely a modern watch today. However, maybe 20 years down the line, the LUC Twist may still be considered the more acceptable watch....
reminds me of the De Bethune look(especially the hands reminds me of the DW2).Also the gray version a little bit.Is it just me?Maybe a little trend in watchmaking!Yours,Mo.
I choose the 'classic' Twist 2009. LIKES Unlike all the uber-cool urbane and chic boys who 'came out' for the Tech Twist 2009, I am drawn to the subtle harmony of the ostensibly plainer model. But further inspection will reveal the juxtaposition of lines ...
I have to agree with MTF. The 1.96 movement is well finished whether with Geneva Seal or not. As I can't afford Dufour's simplicity, Classic Twist would be a decent alternative. Regards Ling
The off-center second dial provides contemporary styling to the classic design. Beautiful in-house movement, painstaking finishing, as always. Thanks for sharing Kong. Jon
it has to be checked out- I would really like to see it in metsal I prefer the WG version, as it is both sporty and dressy Chopard is growing on me Cheers
