You are so right Michael! Clearly this one and all of the Alpine Eagle are doing this same feeling for me. Not all of my watches have that same level of excitement but am getting there!

I have a gray dial alpine eagle, the original 8HZ. More subtle but also beautiful. I found your post especially interesting because I have surprisingly also fallen in love with a recent addition - a red dial grand Seiko. There is something about those dia...

That's is a beauty! I almost got the US only spring drive edition with a similar dial - I think its called katana - while I was in the US but couldn't make it work timing wise with my schedule...

Any reliability problems so far? I know they're probably too new so far.

No reliability problem. 4 different movement as well and all 4 extremely well regulated (2 sec/day when on the wrist)...so I am a very happy camper!

Well I will thé chrono has such a strong presence on the wrist and provide a sporty yet chic feel none of my other watches provide…I love it to (on a bracelet). Tried the rubber strap on it but I get tired of rubber strap easily
