Chopard

It really depends on the taste of the user :-)

Many long-term MR fans DO like slider powering system as it is in fact the way MR pocket watches historically operates.  But, yes, that was pocket watch, which generally wouldn't be the risk of sweat or washing hands.  But when the watch minute repeater came on to the wrist, things may have changed about the water resistance.  JLC made "crystal gong" system which, in a way, similar to Chopard Full Strike for amplifying the sound can be sealed as the sound comes out of the both crystal (front and back).  Others use "Chamber" to seop the water there, e.g. Piaget.  Sliding feel is great when you have the watch in your hand and play, but on the wrist, it is easy to power up just half way and may break it.  So, for the wrist watch, I actually like the button system - that is also the reason why I think this Chopard Full Strike system.  Genius!

Thanks for chiming in, Patrick!
