I'm actually OK with the "updated" movement number...
I'm just puzzled why would they swop the bridges without telling me.
I had initially told Chopard to remove some minor blemishes on the bevels that's all. And they gave me a "brand new" movement.. almost.. Not that I mind.. *shrugs*
Anyone encountered the same thing?
Before servicing: "Calibre 1.96" ; After servicing: "CAL. 96.01-L"
Any existing L.U.C 1.96 owners who had sent their watch to Switzerland for servicing and got back their watch only to find that the bridges got "updated" to reflect the new caliber number?...

Did you made a contact with Chopard after you received "updated" watch? If so what is the response? You are not happy I suppose To tell you the truth I can't see why would they do that maybe it was honest mistake Cheers D

They stated that the geneva seal logo was re-painted and the movement re-polished where in actual fact they didn't. The bridges were just outright swopped for new ones instead. Then again, as long as my watch comes back looking brand new, I'm not complain...

I realised one thing that is unacceptable - the Cotes de Geneve's colour and alignment on both old and new bridges do not match. I have sent the watch back to the boutique. Currently awaiting response from Switzerland HQ.

I had my 16/1860/2 serviced this year, but I haven't looked the bridge engraving close enough. I am not wearing my chopard today but I will do check and let you know when I get home. very interesting!

Which was serviced in swiss this January. Its bridge still says caliber 1.96. I will post the pic later today. Interesting..

So that means it's not a norm for Chopard to "upgrade" the bridges of a Cal 1.96 to a Cal. 96.01 when they go in for servicing.
