Chopard

Just snapped a shot of our Mille Miglia 2014 Race Edition the other day, which had me thinking of the line. Yes, there are still annual new models (as far as I know) that kind of keep up the spirit. But at the same time I feel that the excitement of the e...  

The MM has few "properties" yuo can look at: 1. Its a Chopard, for the company collectors. but as a Chopard, most models are quite simple and not interested horologicaly.. 2. Its a MM "theme". I don't see too many MM theme collectors, if any. it's not F1 ... 

with the GT XL and that sort. I quite liked that modern twist. But most of the first 10 years of mille miglia watches, and a lot of the recent ones, have a sort of faux vintage look that appears to be, not awful, but quite deliberately not as nice as, say... 

The 1963 plays in a different league (OK, there was one MM sharing the same movement) 😁

They used to have a much stronger presence in the for instance vintage car enthusiast scene than seems to be the case today. Wonder what really changed there 🧐

And looking a bit less ordinary to boot 😁

Somehow find strap makers nowadays often more imaginative than watch makers 😁
