Indeed, it is more accurate for them to provide you with an estimation with the watch present, as they would like to spring the customers with surprises or any miscommunication.
L.U.Cs are only serviced by Chopard regional service centres or back to Geneva or Fleurier. I will be shocked to hear if the spares could be found outside of Chopard. Understand it will take some time, but it is better to have the job handle by those who manufacture them instead of having potential issues later.
