Any existing L.U.C 1.96 owners who had sent their watch to Switzerland for servicing and got back their watch only to find that the bridges got "updated" to reflect the new caliber number?...

Did you made a contact with Chopard after you received "updated" watch? If so what is the response? You are not happy I suppose To tell you the truth I can't see why would they do that maybe it was honest mistake Cheers D

I'm actually OK with the "updated" movement number...

I'm just puzzled why would they swop the bridges without telling me. I had initially told Chopard to remove some minor blemishes on the bevels that's all. And they gave me a "brand new" movement.. almost.. Not that I mind.. *shrugs* Anyone encountered the...

Was your original complaint about blemishes on the bridge?

 By: MTF : July 5th, 2016-04:31
nilfire77, You are the first case that I know. Your original complaint was blemishes on the bevels. Was that particular bridge affected? Was it a secondary reason to go back to the workshop? i.e. The primary reason was a regular service. It may be that th...

I sent the watch in for servicing due to a few things: 1) Routine servicing due 2) Minor blemishes on the bevels 3) Geneva seal logo was not painted (which I believe was an initial QC issue) 4) Sticking date (a well known issue on 1.96s) In fact, only the...

What was the turnaround time?

 By: MTF : July 5th, 2016-05:49
Glad that you are more than satisfied. What was the turnaround time? Since you are in Singapore and Geneva is far far away, I don't know if their latest quick turnaround schedule in Europe or USA can be achieved. Regards, MTF

From Singapore: that was pretty quick

Remember the bad old days when some Swiss brands used to take 8 weeks just to send you a diagnosis and cost estimate for the service? Then, they took another 3 months to do the work? Transport delays notwithstanding. Chopard turnaround for simple repairs ...

You answered your own question

All of the issues you cited would be fixed with a bridge swap in that is what they did. When I sent a piece to AP, they go into great detail about everything they changed or did. Did you get a list of things performed if you will from chopard? It should l...

Chopard did give a list of things performed..

They stated that the geneva seal logo was re-painted and the movement re-polished where in actual fact they didn't. The bridges were just outright swopped for new ones instead. Then again, as long as my watch comes back looking brand new, I'm not complain...

Hello

Why they did not tell you that they will do that? Best wishes Alkiro

We already talked a lot about service quality in different topics here

 By: Alkiro1 : July 5th, 2016-06:38
From my side, I have "bad" experience actually with the Geneva Jaeger shop. I gave them a Master calendar mid-April. Since then no news, they gave me different versions about my watch after several phone calls, no email (they were supposed to send me one ...

I hope so

I realised one thing that is unacceptable - the Cotes de Geneve's colour and alignment on both old and new bridges do not match. I have sent the watch back to the boutique. Currently awaiting response from Switzerland HQ.

Interesting.

I can't tell from the photograph you posted, but if they don't match the other plates I am sure this matter will be taken care of properly by Chopard. Please keep us posted. Best, CaliforniaJed

So that means it's not a norm for Chopard to "upgrade" the bridges of a Cal 1.96 to a Cal. 96.01 when they go in for servicing.
