THE 13 edition....

I came across this special timepiece recently and of course wanted to share...

couple of years ago, Cartier released 3 special edition models in Platinum, 13 pcs per model marking the reopening of the Paris Boutique at 13 rue de la Paix.

This one is the 13 Tonneau in platinum example I was able to see in person, quite monochromatic and cold with Pt case and silver dial...

The other 2 models released for this event is Asymmetric and Cloche both in Platinum...Hopefully one day I'll be able to handle them in metal.

However, tonneau piece stands out a bit more to me. What is the significance of “paix” (peace) instead of 1 in each piece? Thanks for sharing these.

True...Tonneau is beautiful, I also felt Cloche seems to be good.

Asymmetric never fits as I wear the timepiece on right...same trouble as VC American 1921 albeit I love the quirkiness

they master the art of design and shapes like no other. They are THE elegant watch maker, although I find their watches to be surprisingly versatile, a Tank fits with T-Shirt and Jeans snd a Tuxedo and everything in between.

I will only buy it new so unless Cartier Paris has one unsold (and I have enquired!), it is unlikely to happen unfortunately.

Marvelous—lovely—the Tonneau would be my choice.
