Cartier

Cartier has just unveiled its diver watch based on the Calibre (waterproof=300m). The watch will be available in SS and PG with a DLC coated bezel. Its case diameter is 42mm. Obviously, it features the caliber 1904MC movement. Even if I'm a bit surprised ...  

It can be my first Cartier? I need to see the SS version "in metal". Cheers, Nilo

Actually I think that it takes advantage of the character of the original Calibre which already has a quite powerful design. Fx

And the small seconds are a NO GO for such a purpose. As for the stone on the crown, it is a bit too precious for a Watch which claims to be a toolwatch. My 2 cents... Best, Nicolas

It's worth mentioning that the Calibre Diver was developed very specifically to the ISO 6425 standard that applies to diver's watches. As such, the legibility of the hands has been adapted for diving purposes (see the image attached), as has the watch's w...  

I think I can do a better prototype. A diver myself whom finds myself in pitch darkness, one needs a watch with so pure a dial design that a glance would tell the elapsed time(comparing bezel with second hand). This watch while retaining the classy cartie... 

This is perfect watch you'd switch your Suunto for after the dive. These so called "dive" watches would not even be allowed on a dive unless accompanied by a proper dive computer. But you could be the coolest free diver in the world with one of these. For...
