this is really a beautiful watch and makes life all the more difficult for me as i may make the leap and buy a more high end dress watch with a precious metal case this year or next. all my watches so far (go, jlc, iwc, omega) are steel and more suited to my lifestyle: casual work environment, active, flip flops and shorts. still, i'd like to get one really precious one to take out for special occasions. i was wondering what the impact of jumping hours would have on the durability of the movement over long periods of time (let's say 2 or 3 generations or more). it seems to me that it could be a real opportunity for wear and tear, but perhaps not really a big concern given that there are antique jumping hour pocket watches that still function just fine. still, i was curious if the real horophiles out there would have some insight on this.
thanks.
