But I would say it would have a negligible impact on the longevity of the watch, even for decades. Though I am not a metallurgist I believe no metal fatigue occurs as long as the loads are not over a certain threshold for the part.

As long as the movement is properly maintained and parts are not allowed to wear out, it should last a long long time. Furthermore because most of the parts working the jump hour mechanism are steel and fairly elementary shapes (springs and gears), replacing them should not be too difficult.
