Newb questions re: LC Tank & CPCP transition...
Sorry for the novice questions but I am, after all, a Cartier novice...
With the advent of the CPCP line and the creation of the LC Tank XL, does this mean that only the XL now had the Piguet manual wind movement while the "traditional" size men's LC Tank was now fitted only with quartz calibers going forward?
As an aside, as the CPCP line is discontinued, what is the fate of the time-only, non-complication Tank XL? Does it remain in production but with a different dial layout and perhaps with an in house manual movement in place of the Piguet-sourced version?
Thanks in advance and hope everyone is having a good weekend,
Tom

Hi Tom, let's recap, I think my previous reply was not so clear. The pre CPCP Tank, like you have, was re-introduced in 1999, in Collection Privée Cartier Paris and remained in the catalogue roughly another 8 years. The case dimensions were 33.5x25.5mm an...

Thanks Dino for correcting me! I mentioned in my reply, that the caliber 9701MC, used for the LC Tank XL, is an in house development; it should read that the 9701MC is a movement by Piaget. GEO
