Cartier

Its definitely a beauty in the time only version...

I adore mine.  Its pure classic Cartier at its best.  Just to clarify, the production numbers of the former CPCP Tank XL, 250 is the total production of both metals.   200 were made in Rose Gold and 50 were made in Platinum.  I had the pleasure to try each on and they are both wonderful pieces.  Platinum is very cool sophisticated, while the rose has a warmth to it that really captured my heart.  The Tank XL is one of my favorite watches.

I am interested in seeing the new date/power reserve Tank in person.  I have seen the dual timezone version of the Tank XL and it was nice, but I much prefered the time only version.  I felt the dual time complication looked more at home on the Tonneau and on the Tank Cintree.   Maybe I'm so used to a classic and clean time only look for an LC Tank or Tank XL, that a complication takes some getting used to.  Still, I think the Power reserve and date will be a better look than the dual time, as it may seem a bit less cluttered without an extra set of hands.

Here is a quick photo of my Tank XL.

Best regards,

Dino
