Cartier Tank LC mineral glass question

Dear all

I really like the Tank LC. Unfortunately I am not sure if the mineral glass on it will be easily scratched. I only like sapphire glass for my watches and had ruled out the Tank LC before due to its lack of a sapphire glass but I must admit... the Tank LC continues to haunt me for months!

Borrowing a pic from Fx on the Tank LC here. Pls let me know what you think of Cartier's mineral glass - how susceptible are they to scratches thank you.

Would appreciate any owners' feedback.

I don't know how much "softer" mineral glass is compared with sapphire.... But, I would have a hard time ruling out a beauty like this only because of the hardness of the glass! Guess if I were really worried, I would buy extra glass at the same time I bo...

Agree. I shouldnt wear this watch too harshly anyway if I buy it. It's just my pickiness on glass scratches that I worry about. Thanks for your suggestion on getting an extra glass. Cheers Robin

If Cartier would ever sell parts to a consumer! That said, I wouldn't worry about the crystal on this watch in terms of daily wear and tear. If you do damage it, just send it in for service.....I know you have other great watches to wear while you wait. :...

I doubt I will wear such a fine and elegant watch daily. Most likely only for evenings and formal dinners or important meetings. So I shouldn't worry too much about the mineral glass then. Cheers Robin

for you incase something happens. But I doubt it will, unless you mistreat the watch. I wear a Tank XL often as a daily watch and do not keep it for special occasions only; it still looks pristine. GEO

I am encouraged to hear the tanks can take daily wear well. And I am always very careful with my watches. .. I guess I am just too particular on glass scratches and hence worry about the mineral glass. Don't understand why Cartier doesn't want to have sap...
