The post invites the community to share images and insights on both vintage and contemporary Cartier timepieces, sparking a vibrant exchange of iconic models and historical context.
It was the 'king of jewellers' and also 'the jeweller of kings'
I wonder if their watches are also worthy of high mention.
I believe Cartier made the first deployment buckle (I stand corrected )
Any photos of both older and new versions are most welcome.

is very nice! Love those specials. Since we're talking specials, I post my Tank Cintrée, Lim.Ed. of 100pc. for Hong Kong. Geo
And here is one to share.... Basculante.... I really like the case design. The roman on the dial really adds on it and of course, i would love to own a precious metal version with the movement expose on the back Regards
Hi Dino Does this watch resemble yours? Stainless Steel Automatic
a Bisten 50, but here it does look like a trunk, you're right. Geo
The largest (50cm) one is not a vintage, it's actually only 5 years old. It's the allowed size for on board luggage and for me large enough for a 6 day city trip. The smaller (40cm) Damier case was a special order and is very new. It will take about a year for the blond leather handle and label to turn darker, as the other one. They are great classic cases to travel with, but one has to bear in mind that they're quite heavy, since they're made out of wood. Geo
