As i get older, i appreciate thin watches more. At 9.1 mm, with 100 meter WR and screw down crown, the new Bvlgari Octo is a true ultra thin sport watch.
The bracelet is also one of the best i've known. Thin but solid , square but beautiful. Small links make the bracelet wrap around my wrist like silky jewelry. The finishing is flawless.
The only quibble is i do wish the size could be 2-3 mm smaller to make it more elegant. Although at the current size is no problem with small wrist, because of the cleverly designed short lugs.

I am your opposite. I strive for thin piece when I was young but now I like everything except the super thick and beyond 44mm
Yes, taste can evolve. For me, sport watch must be 39-41 mm, casual at 37-39 mm, dress watch at 34-36 mm
Thickness should be under 14 mm for all sizes
