Well that’s not something I can reply,
it’s your decision, though there are worse things than spending 7k for a quartz Cartier as my wife did and spend triple the amount for a gold quartz Cartier 
. Although I have to give it to her, she is in love with her watch and very happy to be able to just put the watch on and go about her things without having to deal with winding the watch or setting the time.

I agree about the practicality of quartz. I myself had a Gold Tank Solo (quartz) back in 2010.
Whenever I want to wear it, just grab and go. This is good especially for dress watch which is not worn daily. That is also why I'm eyeing the Santos Dumont size L , two tone with quartz.

I also have a 36mm Cartier Rond as a dress watch, back from when Cartier was offering the watch on a black alligator strap. It’s quartz and I must admit it’s easy to just strap and go. There is always a place for a Cartier in ones collection.
