To me it is the most exiting watch Breguet ever did
Jul 22, 2009,07:30 AM
It has always been my favorite.
The tradition is nice, but in real life I find the dial way too small.
Ref 3337 is a timeless beauty and I can't wait to seeing the larger version,
although I would not mind wearing the smaller version at all.
Still larger than my Santos Dumont that I love. LOL!

One of the most exciting Breguet watch, the Ref 3337.

Well, at least to me! Certainly with the Tradition and the exclusive Tourbillon Messidor, one of the most exciting Breguet. All we expect from a Breguet is here: An undisputable elegance, with some perfect proportions. The case is 35mm " big ", which may ...

Another great composition from our Dear Friend Tassos! I agree that the work on the 7337 dial is awesome, but I still have to see it in the flesh, to be sure... I'm wondering if I don't prefer the remarkable geometry and balance of the 3337 dial... Just h...

Back into my car, I was just saying to myself : " Damn, I should have taen pics of the Tradition and of the 3337 side by side..." In fact, these 2 are so different that they are complementary, IMO. Thanks for your input, my friend. Nicolas
has always been my favourite piece, but

after all I did not buy it because it is no perpetual calendar. I always said, this design plus perpetual calendar would be my dream-Breguet. BTW congratulation for those pics, was there any photoshopping to enhance the contrast? The guilloche looks deeper ...
Very interesting thoughts, Lutz

I understand your position, but I make a difference between a Calendar, an Annual Calendar and a Perpetual Calendar. There is a big gap between the Calendar and the perpetual calendar that the Annual Calendar tries to fill. I say " Try " because I'm not t...

Hello Nicolas, I can follow Your reserve against the anual calendar, but in the course of time it grew on me.It's a Patek speciality and they designed it to make it cheaper to service(and to buy of course) than a perpetual mechanism. You have to set it just...
Yes, Lutz, we should launch this thread!

I completely underrstand your argument, but if we push it to the limits, a simple date is even cheaper, and changing the date once a month is not a big deal, either... I know, I know... LOLOLOL Best, Nicolas

I am getting too lazy to set the perpetual calendar mechanism every time I get it out of the case, on the other hand putting it on the winder continuously I avoid for fear of too much wear and tear of the movement,so You might be right a normal calendar i...

Now, I'm very curious to see the 7337 in the flesh, with some reserves I have on the dial... Another thing I'm wondering is to check that the case is not too big with 39 mm. The 3337 seems to have such perfect proportions that I doubt on the opportunity t...

do we know if they will make it with the gold-colored disks? I always thought that added to tha allure, they reminded me of aged paper, and went well with the stark white of the dial.... A

3137/3337 engraved movement will be perfect. Don't understand why Swatch did not do that. May be the engraved movements are now reserved for perpetual and above....... Hmm
It may also depend on what's under the 7337 case...
By: amanico : July 23rd, 2009-06:41
If it is the same movement than in the 3337, it may be a bit lost on a bigger case...( 4 mm more ). So, in this case, a solid case back would be a smarter solution, don't you think? Best, Nicolas

But that is to be expected by Breguet. I do prefer the bigger version as I regard the 35mm a tad small for me Thanks for the info and I am looking forward in seeing it in metal Cheers

however, I find these dials just too old-fashioned in the final analysis--and too purely dressy. I love them. I admire them. I find them sumptuously fine! But in the end, more of a thing I'd like to hang on a wall or admire at a museum. I do like the Aero...
