The PT type XX w/ Salmon dial & date window

 

is actually Transatlantique w/ 3827 as reference number or 3820 as the normal production pieces.  

The Aeronavale, Ref: 3800 refers to Type XX without date. (Earlier model)   Another difference is that the Aeronavale are typically made w/ polished bracelet while the Transatlantique are fitted with bracelet w/ matte finished centerpieces and polished on the sides.

The LE Aeronavale, Ref: 3807 got a special blue dial that's indeed purple'ish and different from the blue dial offered on WG/PT 3820 model.    It's definitely one of the BEST looking blue dial out there, IMHO!

Last but not least, I do recall it's actually made in a series of 1500 and they do NOT come w/ any LE serial number such as xxx/1500.   I believe they were simply made in a series of 1500 pieces from a case number 34000.    Good luck finding one.   In case it's not obvious, I think it's GORGEOUS!

Breguet Type XX Aeronavale Blue dial

Hi all I got to see a Breguet type XX with blue dial recently. The blue dial looks beautiful and I am falling in love with it! I think it is a ref 3807 and it seems to be the only Type XX with an open case back. From some research, it seems to be limited ... 

It is not the only one with a sapphire case back...

The platinum comes with a sapphire case back, too. The SS version is a limited edition of 1000 pièces, while the platinum came in a LE of 90 pièces. Here are some pictures: The big difference is that the stainless steel doesn't have a date, while the S...

Nice pics! Man, I like the Salmon dial Plat version too (I know you have that!). They both look great to me. I have never seen the salmon dial Plat version before but the blue dial SS.... the color is to die for! Thanks once again Nicolas! cheers robin

Before deciding anything on this Watch, try to see it in the flesh: The dial is more purple blue than blue. Be sure that you like what you are seeing, I mean, the color, with these purple accents. And that you won't get rid of it, after a while... Best, N...

Agree with your advice. I saw this in the flesh recently. Indeed, I was captivated by the purple blue as I really love this color and have never seen such a hue of blue on a nice watch before (excluding "fun" watches). I also checked out the GO seventies ...

I appreciate all the details and differences between the various Breguet Type xx you highlighted in your post. That clears up alot of confusion I had when I was searching for more info. Yes, I too find the SS 3807 blue VERY VERY attractive! Not easy to fi... 

Sure about the LE of 1500 pieces, Jester? I have always been told ( and read ) 1000.
